Erin Register

Position: Rep Company, Marketing & P.R. Coordinator
Education: Erin Register received her Bachelor’s in Broadcast News with a double minor in English and Theatre from The Edward R. Murrow School of Communication at Washington State University. During her time at WSU, she was involved in Cable 8 Productions where she won The Edward R. Murrow School of Communication Best Female Talent Award for her work on the comedic late-night show After Hours, which she co-wrote. After graduation, Erin relocated to Los Angeles where she interned at Sony Pictures Television International. Her training includes, Meisner, Chekhov, Fitzmaurice, Viewpoints, Improv, and The Specific and Improvisational Actor - a technique coined by Co-founder and Artistic Director of XRT, Aaron Ganz.
Professional Experience: Erin has been performing since adolescence, participating in school and community arts programs since the tender age of five. Favorite theatre credits include, Our Town, Star Spangeled Girl, The Music Man, and most recently, XRT’s Inagural Production, Even Yet Its Mighty Daring Sings.
What the XRT Means To Me…: XRT is everything that’s good about the arts. It’s a community of artists who not only want to see each one of us become the best artists we can be, but they contribute the tools they’ve acquired to help everyone that walks through the doors to become that artist. I came to XRT a year ago at a time when I felt lost in my craft and didn’t know how to move forward. XRT’s unbelievable dedication to their students and staff is unmatched. It is a place where artistic integrity and drive will always be more important than an IMDB credit. When I walk into the building, I feel that I can live truthfully, with no apologies - and that to me is priceless.
Why I Do What I Do…: There are plenty of careers that are much safer than being an artist, but in my opinion - none are more fulfilling. Having the opportunity to be in touch with the five year old version of myself, where nothing is impossible and everything is inspiring is so much more valuable to me than a hefty paycheck. I’ve faced my fair share of challenges since moving to LA, but when I step on stage with my fellow artists at XRT, those challenges become my tools and inspiration. I have been given the opportunity to live my dream everyday and share it with the most influential group of artists - who wouldn’t want to do that?
Did You Know?: Erin’s friends often refer to her as “The Jukebox” because she knows such a wide variety of songs. She hopes to one day travel the world working as an artist!
